Ron Haslam stars in latest ‘Paddock People’

Ron Haslam is a household name in motorcycle racing, not least in the UK, having won numerous titles both in and out of Britain during his professional career which spanned 1977 to 1993. As Ron insists, his son could one day clinch the WorldSBK title.
“You always want them to be safe,” Ron says as a racing father. “But in this game being too safe isn’t a winner. If I think he is pushing too hard, I will tell him that he’s got to calm it back. The same the opposite way round: if he’s being too technical and smooth, I will tell him he’s got to put a bit of youngness into it.”
